Internet remembers US Kent State students’ massacre

This 5 May 2018 video from the USA says about itself:

Victims remembered on the 48th anniversary of the Kent State massacre

Kent State Massacre: new evidence here.

From Art Threat blog in the USA:

Kent State Massacre Remembered: Online Memorial

On May 4, 1970 four students of Kent State University were shot dead by National Guardsmen during a protest against the US government’s invasion of Cambodia. It was a horrific acting out of violence by the state against its citizens engaged only in the democratically legitimate activity of dissent.

Mike and Kendra’s website – May 4, 1970 – is an online archival memorial about the event and about the subsequent struggle to have actual memorials constructed in the parking lot where the students were killed.

The website documents in detail and with photographs what happened not only on May 4, but in the days leading up to the May 4 killings and the subsequent court trial. The website also provides information about the lesser known Jackson State tragedy where two students were killed and 12 others injured by gun fire from National Guardsmen and local police.

This video from Britain is called Butchering Iraq – Bush and Blair’s Crusade.

From Blairwatch in Britain:

Quick one – I promised to put up the petition to try and stop Tony Blair wangling another wholly undeserved job at the public expense. Heartily recommended, and it’s putting on signatures at a good clip.

Dutch sea-eagles prepare for new breeding season

This is a video of the young white-tailed eagle in the Oostvaardersplassen in 2007, trying to learn how to fly.

From SOVON in the Netherlands:

The most famous couple in the Netherlands, the sea-eagles of the Oostvaardersplassen, recently have started to repair the eyrie where they have nested for the past two years.

Both in 2006 and in 2007 they have managed to raise a chick. The older chick meanwhile has been driven from the territory; its whereabouts are unknown.

The eaglet from 2007 is still hanging around in the area; probably, it will soon have to leave as well.

Meanwhile, the already big eyrie has been strengthened with an extra 20 centimeter. In a few years time, the eyrie might collapse from its own weight. Soon, the special webcam of Staatsbosbeheer, directed at the nest, will be online again.

This is a video about a red-tailed hawk and a blue jay in the USA.

There is something special, particularly with the blue jay.

Six workers dead, dozens injured in US sugar plant explosion

This video from the USA is called Imperial Sugar Refinery Fire.

By Naomi Spencer:

US: Six dead, dozens injured in Georgia sugar plant explosion

9 February 2008

At least 6 workers died and more than 60 suffered injuries in a massive explosion and fire Thursday evening at a Savannah, Georgia, sugar refinery.

The disaster is the latest in a series of devastating and preventable industrial accidents linked to the build-up of combustible powders, for which federal safety investigators recommended regulatory standards in 2006.

The sugar industry already had a bad safety record in the seventeenth century in Amsterdam, the Netherlands.
