Marsh harrier and dunlin on Terschelling


Today, my first full day on Terschelling.

Pied wagtails outside, early in the morning.

At the Lieskerplak, three shelducks, many lapwings, male and female shoveler.

Cuckoo sounds. Two hares.

The great spotted woodpecker chicks still in their treehole.

Curlew in Koegelwieck nature rerserve. Later, a marsh harrier.

Sedge warbler

Sedge warbler singing.

A small heath butterfly.

Dunlin on the beach. Later in the dunes, a cuckoo flies past.

Finally, two kestrels courting.
