This video from Azerbaijan, Ag-Gel National Park, July 14, 2014 is about black-tailed godwits. It also briefly shows a marsh sandpiper.
Today, back to where I saw the hundreds of black-tailed godwits, back from wintering in Africa. Probably, most of these birds would continue to Iceland.
The windmill was spinning around. So, today no great cormorants, jackdaws or other birds resting on its sails.
In the canal near the entrance, grey lag geese and a moorhen swimming.
A bit further: a male and a female tufted duck.
Two gadwall ducks. Canada geese.
In the southern lake, two male shoveler ducks swimming.
Near the northern lake, great tit and dunnock sounds.
On the islets and in the water of the northern lake, even more black-tailed godwits than last time. Like last time, some northern lapwings and great cormorants among them. Unlike last time, I see now two oystercatchers and a curlew as well.
Again, scores of teal in the eastern part of the northern lake.
