How Saudi regime murdered journalist Khashoggi, update

This 23 October 2018 video from the USA says about itself:

Anatomy of an Assassination: A Bone Saw and a Body Double

Surveillance footage captures a Saudi operative in disguise to appear like Jamal Khashoggi. Cenk Uygur, Ana Kasparian, and Kyle Kulinski, hosts of The Young Turks, break it down.

“In the latest twist in the murder of Jamal Khashoggi, CNN today broadcast Turkish surveillance video showing a Saudi agent in Istanbul, a body-double for Khashoggi, wearing his clothes while walking around the city. One wonders what else the Turkish authorities might have, and when they will produce it.

This week could produce major consequences for Riyadh, Washington and Ankara. The stakes are high. The Trump administration wants the Saudis to be on its side by Nov. 4 when the next round of sanctions on Iran take effect. Riyadh’s role is to pump more oil to keep prices stable. The political price appears to be that Washington needs to accept Riyadh’s new version of what happened when the self-exiled Saudi journalist died in the kingdom’s Istanbul consulate on Oct. 2.”

Translated from Dutch NOS TV today:

The Turkish newspaper Daily Sabah has printed contents of sound recordings of the last moments of the Saudi journalist Jamal Khashoggi. He was murdered in October last year during a visit to the Saudi consulate in the Turkish city of Istanbul.

The transcription shows, eg, what the Saudi suspects discussed before, during and after the murder. The words of Khashoggi himself have also been transcribed.

One of the suspects says, before the journalist arrives in the consulate, that he has experience with getting rid of bodies. He proposes to cut the body of Khashoggi into pieces and then to get it out in five suitcases. It is still unclear where the body parts are. …

Fiancee is waiting outside

The moment Khashoggi comes in, he is asked to go along and sit down. He is told that the men have been ordered to take him to Saudi Arabia. He says that he is not going, because there is no charge against him, and that his fiancee is waiting for him outside.

The journalist soon realizes that things are not right and says that the men must let him go. Then he is instructed to send a message to his son to let him know that he might be unreachable for a while. Khashoggi refuses and says it is incomprehensible that something like this happens in a consulate.

He sees a towel and asks the men if they intend to drug him. One of the men says that he is putting him to sleep and probably presses the towel into his face, causing Khashoggi to lose consciousness. A moment later he comes back and says he has asthma and the men are suffocating him. Those were Khashoggi’s last words.

Then, according to the Daily Sabah, he gets a plastic bag over his head and then for half an hour he is cut to pieces with a bone saw. …

The prosecutor in Saudi Arabia has demanded the death penalty against five suspects.

Five fall guys in order to distract attention from Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman.

The men belonged to a death squad flown in by plane. Saudi Arabia only admitted after some weeks that the journalist, who was a critic of the Saudi royal family, had been killed in the consulate. …

Turkey accuses Saudi crown prince Mohammed bin Salman of being behind the order for the murder.

Not just Turkey. So do, among many others, the United Nations, United States President Trump’s own Republican party, Trump’s own CIA (not the Trump administration, though).
