Sickening as it is, some people try to make political capital out of the terrible London bombings.

They include Rightist TV propagandists of Fox News.

They applaud the killings, as they think they serve their own Rightist political agenda.

The people who try to make political capital out of this tragedy include the religious Right blaming, as usually like eg after 9/11, everything on lesbians, gays, feminists, real or imagined “liberals”, “socialists”, or “communists”.

Fred Phelps, head of the Westboro Baptist church [and a prominent advocate in the media of the Bush campaign in 2004, claiming Democratic candidates Kerry and Edwards were supposedly gay], isn’t content with just celebrating hate crimes or the death of American soldiers.

The group has now posted a press release in response to yesterday’s horrific attacks on London.

“Thank God for the bombing of London’s subway today – July 7, 2005 – wherein dozens were killed and hundreds seriously injured. Wish it was many more.

“But thou shalt say unto them, This is a nation that obeyeth not the voice of the Lord their God, nor receiveth correction; truth is perished, and is cut off from their mouth.” Jer. 7:28.

And one should in this context also note politicians like Bush and Blair who now do a public relations job on themselves as “moral” “good guys” while continuing to kill civilians in Iraq (over 100.000 according to the British Medical Journal, and The Lancet [then; the 2006 estimate is 600,000]).
