Children in Trump’s cages make drawings

This 18 June 2018 video from the USA says about itself:

Listen to children who’ve just been separated from their parents at the border

ProPublica has obtained audio from inside a U.S. Customs and Border Protection facility, in which children can be heard wailing as an agent jokes, “We have an orchestra here.”

Immigrant children draw ‘traumatizing’ cage after staying in jail

Three children aged 10 and 11 years made the above drawing of their stay in a US American detention centre. After crossing the border with Mexico, they were separated from their parents and locked up. This has been happening in the United States for some time, but the imprisonment of children is happening more and more often. After they were released, the children made the drawing.

It was shared with NBC News by the American Academy of Pediatrics. “Children do not belong in Customs and Border Protection facilities, or in any detention facilities“, said Sara Goza, the company’s future president. The association warned earlier about the traumatic circumstances in the centres. “No amount of time spent in these facilities is safe for children.”

Concentration camps

Several children have already died in the detention centres. “More children will continue to die if we do not make sure that every child who passes through federal custody is seen by a paediatric-trained medical professional”, said Goza. “I personally toured two CBP facilities and did not encounter a single paediatrician at either one.”

Several Democratic Members of Congress also recently visited the migrant centres. There they saw that migrants had to drink from toilets, were banned from having showers and had to sleep on concrete floors.

Degrading circumstances, said Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez. She compared the centres with concentration camps.
