First spoonbill returns to Texel island nesting colony

This April 2013 video from the Netherlands says about itself:

Eurasian Spoonbills brooding on their nests on the island Texel. Some of the birds are sitting on their nests, some of them are standing on them.

The video shows the spoonbill colony at the Schorren, one of several colonies on Texel.

Warden Charlotte Biskop of Texel reports today that the first spoonbill has returned this week to its nesting colony from spring migration.

The beginning of the 2018 Texel spoonbill nesting season!
