Minister who kicked Soma mine mourner goes off sick – with leg pain

Monday 19th may 2014

THE Turkish prime ministerial adviser who was photographed last week kicking a mourner of the Soma mine disaster has gone off sick with pain in his right leg.

Yusuf Yerkel was signed off for a week after being diagnosed with soft tissue trauma.

He refused to apologise yesterday to his victim, who had been held by police as Mr Yerkel unleashed a number of kicks at his body.
