This video is about a female goldcrest in Sweden.
BirdLife in the Netherlands reports that there is much goldcrest migration in that country this autumn. They expect three to five times more of these smallest birds opf Europe than in an average year.
On 131, bird migration counters on the dune De Vulkaan near The Hague saw 141 migrating goldcrests pass.
On 5 October, bird ringers of Westerschouwen birding station caught 266 goldcrests, a record number.
Most of these migrant birds are from Scandinavia, some from Baltic countries and Russia.

Vanmorgen trof ik op mijn terras, op een bloempot een verpieterd,
verkleumd goudhaantje aan. Ik kom hem oppakken en heb hem in mijn hand
verwarmd en al snel keek hij wat alerter rond. Een fase verder zat hij
op de rand van mijn stenen drinkschaaltje en wat later vloog hij weer
weg. Ik woon midden in de stad en had nooit verwacht daar een
goudhaantje te zien. Ontroerend om te ervaren dat ze inderdaad
ontzettend klein zijn, maar zo schitterend! Een magische

Nico: ja, de goudhaantjes scharrelen ook bij ons door de tuin, er is
een fikse invasie, wel heel mooi om te zien!
