Northern hawk-owl still in Zwolle

This video by Erik van Ommen is about the northern hawk-owl in Zwolle in the Netherlands.

The bird is still there today. Birder Robert van der Meer reports about it feeding on a mouse while sitting on a pole of the Enexis energy corporation complex.

Here is a video, made yesterday, about the owl feeding on (another) mouse.

There were rumours that a truck had killed the owl, but fortunately, they very probably seem to be untrue.

The Dutch Birding webshop sells a T-shirt with depictions of both the Zwolle northern hawk-owl and the Deventer pygmy owl.

The shop has many more products about the northern hawk-owl, including jugs and bags.
