French President Macron gets unpopular soon

This 25 August 2017 video is about Emmanuel Macron splurging £24,000 of taxpayers’ money on MAKEUP in three months.

Translated from Dutch NOS TV today:

The majority of French people are dissatisfied with the performance of President Macron. His popularity has been going steadily downhill since his election in May. According to a survey by Ifop commissioned by the Sunday newspaper Le Journal du Dimanche, 57 percent of respondents are critical about Macron, 14 percentage points more than in Ifop’s previous survey in July. …

The support for Macron has been decreasing faster for a while than for his predecessors Sarkozy and Hollande in the first periods after their election.

NOS TV names Macron’s plans for attacking workers’ rights as a factor in this.

Speaking Tuesday to a conference of French ambassadors for his inaugural foreign policy speech, President Emmanuel Macron laid out plans for a military build-up and an aggressive global policy.
