Cameron‘s latest wheeze to attract racist UKIP voters back into the Tory fold is to demand that landlords take over the role of the UK Border Agency and start tracking illegal migrants.
One such landlord is Fergus Wilson a man who, with his wife, owns over 900 properties in Kent. Here Wilson reveals his racist views as he tells Channel 4 News that Kent is “sinking under the weight of illegal *and* legal immigrants“. This is the man who wants to be Kent’s next police commissioner.

Property hoarder moans about ‘curry smell’
ANTI-RACISM campaigners called for the prosecution of a buy-to-let landlord yesterday who said he would not rent to “coloured people” because they made his properties smell of curry.
Multimillionaire housing tycoon Fergus Wilson, who owns hundreds of rental properties in Maidstone and Ashton in Kent, has previously refused to rent out homes to “battered wives and single mothers” and people receiving housing benefit.
In an email to letting agent Evolution Properties he wrote: “No coloured people because of the curry smell at the end of the tenancy.”
A spokesman for anti-racist campaign group Hope Not Hate condemned the landlord’s racist policies.
He said: “You simply cannot treat people like this and deny them a place to live due to their skin colour.
“This is the unacceptable face of the housing crisis. There is something broken in the system when such a powerful figure can get away with such an appalling policy.
“Fergus Wilson’s comments would seem laughably offensive, a throwback to the Alf Garnett era, if they weren’t so serious in their implication.
“Mr Wilson should face the full legal implications of his actions.”
Following the surfacing of the email the Equality and Human Rights Commission has pledged to investigate and ask Mr Wilson to explain his discriminatory policies.
Its chief executive Rebecca Hilsenrath described Mr Wilson’s remarks as “truly disgusting” and added: “Unless we are satisfied that he will not commit unlawful acts in the future we will take legal action.”

Letting agency Evolution, which manages hundreds of Mr Wilson’s properties, condemned the policy and said it would never implement it.
In January Mr Wilson, who is worth £100 million, issued a directive banning tenants with children under 18, single adults, victims of domestic abuse, tenants without a rent guarantee, people on housing benefit, low income workers, zero-hours workers, plumbers … and pet owners.

A BLOATED buy-to-let property tycoon refused to apologise yesterday following outcry over his bigoted decision not to rent homes to “coloureds” because they left his property “smelling of curry.”
Fergus Wilson now says he would allow “negroes” to become tenants because “they haven’t generated a curry smell at the end of the tenancy.”
But he clarified that he would be wary of renting to people from India because his “beef is with curry.”
Mr Wilson has made tens of millions by buying up houses when the property market collapsed in the 1990s, then selling them when prices soared. He also retained hundreds of houses in Kent, letting them out for rent via lettings agencies.
The bigot attracted a storm of criticism on Tuesday over an instruction to his letting agency not to rent to “coloureds.”
Refusing to apologise for his remarks yesterday, Mr Wilson, 70, blamed a lettings agency employee for the furore after leaking his comments.
Amid a public backlash, Mr Wilson refused to back down …
He said: “I do not apologise for it. Faced with the same circumstances, I would do it again.

“I have merely taken an economic decision. …”
The Equality and Human Rights Commission said Mr Wilson’s instructions to the letting agent were “unlawful” and it pledged to investigate and ask him to explain his actions.
A Kent Police spokesman said: “Kent Police is aware of this issue and will be working to establish if any offences have taken place.”
Among other groups banned by Mr Wilson from renting his properties are people on housing benefit and “battered wives.”
In January 2014, he sent eviction notices to around 200 tenants who receive housing benefit.
He said he was replacing them with Eastern European migrants, because: “We’ve found [migrants] to be a good category of tenant who don’t default on their rent.”

Property tycoon calls in police after backlash
A BUY-TO-LET tycoon who tried to have “coloured” tenants banned from his properties because of the “smell of curry” that he claims they leave behind complained to police yesterday about online abuse he has received.
Fergus Wilson, 69, has been passed Facebook posts showing images of himself and his wife Judith holding doctored property boards with insulting messages on them.
One reads: “I am a racist c***, 2 per cent of people disagree with this statement.”
Another reads: “Racist, homophobic prick,” while one other says: “2 per cent, the percentage of people that don’t think I’m a twunt.”
Mr Wilson said a YouTube video in which he is called a “racist dickwad” had also been reported.
The Facebook postings appeared following the leak of an email that Mr Wilson sent to a letting agency listing his requirements for potential tenants.
It reads: “No coloured people because of the curry smell at the end of the tenancy.”
Mr Wilson said that carpets had been ruined by ingrained cooking smells and that such damage was not covered by his insurance.
He claimed his refusal to accept non-white tenants was purely for financial reasons and was “neither racist nor discrimination.”
“Let me be perfectly honest on this point,” he added. “In a predominantly white English area, almost all landlords will not let to Indian and Pakistani tenants because of the smell of curry.”
Mr Wilson refused to back down after a fierce reaction from the public, asserting that his racist stance was no different from his ban on smokers and dog owners letting his properties.
He is considered to be Britain’s biggest buy-to-let landlord, with hundreds of homes in Kent.
