In my earlier blog post on the photo hide, I mentioned the pool there which birds used for drinking and bathing. Not only great tits did that, also, eg, the blue tit on this photo.
Blue tits, both adults and fledglings, looked for food on branches as well.
Not only great tits and blue tits, also less common tit species live near the hide. Including crested tits (which we did not see on 10 June). And long-tailed tits (which we only saw briefly in the morning).
We did see marsh tits; like this one.
It liked bathing.
It really liked bathing.
After the bathing, it dried its feathers on the bank.
