  1. The last possibility of change or I would go even further and say revolution, was the 1960s, this was because the WW2, had finished and rationing’s were just ending late 1970s, paying debt off for the war, and many were in a state of jubilation in surviving this ordeal, although the hippies had some faults that were to be worked upon, nevertheless, it was a time of rebirth, and many had hope that the folly of war was now understood and we were to become potentially the first generation free and free from the excesses of war, this condition was short lived as the cold war and the killing of Kennedy, King and so on were all part of the omens that had a different significance, it is of great misfortune that more of the 1960’s generation did not get behind the changing world that was a vision of a great destiny of possibility for the human race living on this planet.
In today’s world, our minds are concerned with the bedroom tax, payouts for the CEO’s of millions, and the vision, now is fashion, and the glossy magazines are in the rubbish bins, what we should wear to keep up, consumption, for many its about survival, like keeping warm, and food, not enough effort made in the 60’s, for change, the public did not take it seriously that stuff like the oversea’s war’s were all part of a financial loss that one day may impact upon your life and well being and the majority of people not just in Britain but elsewhere , made no effort for positive change.
