Washington sells bombs for Yemen campaign
Wednesday 18th November 2015
THE US government will sell bombs worth $1.3 billion (£850 million) to Saudi Arabia to continue its military campaign in Yemen.
The State Department said on Monday that the package included several laser-guided bombs and other models.
A statement said the deal “replenishes” weapons stocks depleted by Saudi Arabia’s eight-month bombing campaign and recent ground invasion of Yemen, which has brought the country to the brink of collapse with millions facing starvation.
Riyadh and its coalition of smaller regional powers is trying to reinstate president Abed Rabbo Mansour Hadi, who was deposed in January by Houthi Ansar Allah forces.

Certainly in the case of Kunduz in Afghanistan, the United States armed forces knew extremely well this was a Doctors Without Borders hospital, the only one in Kunduz city. Maybe they did not like the hospital’s policy of caring for *all* injured people, whether civilians or belonging to either of the warring sides?

There were Pentagon claims of Taliban hiding in the hospital … Doctors Without Borders has proved these were lies.
