Uruguayan president saves young girl’s life

This 2 December 2014 video in Spanish shows supporters of Tabaré Vázquez celebrating his victory in the presidential elections in Uruguay.

Translated from NOS TV in the Netherlands:

President of Uruguay saves life of French girl

President Tabaré Vázquez of Uruguay has saved the life of a 14-year-old French girl in the plane from Uruguay to France. She was hit by acute respiratory distress after eating nuts.

The newspaper El Observador writes that the crew asked if there was a doctor among the passengers. The girl, who had an allergic attack, had to be treated acutely. Vázquez, a former cancer specialist, and his personal physician rushed forward, and gave the girl an injection.

According to her mother that saved the life of her daughter.

Presidents of the USA usually travel in the taxpayer-paid Air Force One. In Britain, Tony Blair would have liked very much to travel in the taxpayer-paid Blair Force One. In France, Blairite Prime Minister Manuel Valls travels to football matches abroad in taxpayer-paid special planes. In the Netherlands, the royal family travels in taxpayer-paid special planes. Wannabe president of the USA Donald Trump travels in his private plane. So does a Saudi royal prince smuggling 2,000kg of illegal drugs.

The president of Uruguay apparently travels to Europe in a normal passenger plane, along with commoners.

From Wikipedia about him:

Tabaré Ramón Vázquez Rosas … born January 17, 1940) is a Uruguayan politician who has been President of Uruguay since 2015. He previously served as President from 2005 to 2010. A physician (oncologist) by training, he is a member of the leftist Frente Amplio coalition (Broad Front in English).

Vázquez was elected President on October 31, 2004, took office on March 1, 2005, and relinquished the office on March 1, 2010. As President, he presided over considerable improvements in education and working conditions, a significant expansion of the welfare system,[1][2] and a dramatic reduction in poverty,[3] with the percentage of Uruguayans living in poverty falling from 32% to 20% of the population from 2004 to 2009.[4] Vázquez was returned to office in the 2014 presidential election.[5]
