Watch as a Downy Woodpecker experiences a genuine American Goldfinch invasion on the Cornell Lab FeederWatch Cam! It’s not surprising considering the feeders currently offer some of their favorite options: black oil sunflower, nyjer seed, and hulled sunflower. Goldfinches are among the strictest vegetarians in the bird world, selecting an entirely vegetable diet and only inadvertently swallowing an occasional insect.
