On 6 November 2015, this mole reached the surface in the garden of Ms Judith van Oudheusden-Krol in the Netherlands. Ms van Oudheusden-Krol filmed this while being with her daughter and her dog. As the dog might attack the mole, Judith stopped filming.
Moles in the Netherlands: here.
I adore tiny moles! I know they’re destructive to a garden or a lawn, but they are so cute! I used to follow their tunnels when I was a girl and was quite successful digging a few of them up. I don’t recommend it, but I was able to hold them a bit before releasing them back into their digs and they are as soft as a hamster. ❤

Thanks for your comment! I also have been privileged to see moles above ground a few times; but I have seen mole hills much more often 🙂
