Baby elephant born in Rotterdam zoo

This is a video of a young Asian elephant, born this morning at 5am, in Blijdorp zoo in Rotterdam, the Netherlands.

This is the 16th elephant birth ever in that zoo.

Trong Nhi, the mother of the youngster, is ten years old. Herself born in Blijdorp, Douanita and Alexander were her parents. This is her first baby. Other elephants, especially Aunt Bangka, helped her after the birth.

The newborn is female, and weighs 65kg.
