LEFT MP John McDonnell slammed new Labour‘s “failures” for causing the economy’s plunge towards a depression on Friday even as the Prime Minister tried to deflect criticism by blaming the Tories for their “ridiculous behaviour.”

Official figures have finally confirmed what hundreds of thousands of newly redundant workers already know, that Britain is in recession and the economy is in its worst shape since 1980.
