This Dutch video is about the Vogel het uit! app for studying birds in the Netherlands.
At the University of Amsterdam in the Netherlands, people have made a free app for enabling all people with smartphones to help with studying birds.
Some birds, like honey buzzards, Montagu’s harriers, or lesser black-backed gulls have devices enabling scientists to track their movements.
The app “Vogel het uit!” enables ordinary people to help these ornithological studies.
This app won the Dutch academic prize for 2013. It will be available on the Internet from 14 May on.
