White peacock butterfly in the USA

The White Peacock Butterfly (Anartia jatrophae) is a striking tropical butterfly found in Florida and Texas and sometimes further north.

Habitat: Most open, sunny and moist areas such as disturbed sites, pond edges and along roadside ditches.
