Mating bobtail squids video


In the night in Grevelingen salt water lake in the Netherlands, diver Harry Brummelhuis made this video of a mating Atlantic bobtail squid couple.

Bobtail squid coat their eggs in antifungal goo. Females have a special organ that houses protective bacteria for the jellylike coating. By Tina Hesman Saey, 5:32pm, July 10, 2018.
