Penguin gets Italian goalgetter’s name

TURIN – The first goalscorer for Italy at the World Cup in South Africa will be honoured in a special way. A penguin, recently born in the zoo of Turin, will get the name of the player. Italian sports daily Gazzetta dello Sport reported this on Tuesday.

The first possibility for the baby penguin getting a name is on June 14. Italy then will play against Paraguay in Group F. If the Italians will not score then, then it should wait until June 20 when Italy will play against New Zealand, or June 24 when the Azzurri will be up against Slovakia.
