USA: Michael Moore saves Sicko movie from Bush administration for show at Cannes

This video is the trailer of the film Sicko by Michael Moore.

From Erik Moe in the USA:

Moore Sneaks Sicko Print to Cannes

In a message to his supporters, Michael Moore today revealed that he arranged for duplicate master prints of Sicko, his long-awaited health-care exposé, to be shipped to the Cannes Film Festival on the sly.

The precaution comes after Bush administration officials expressed concern that a portion of the film shot in Cuba may have violated the trade embargo with that country.

Work of a journalistic nature is supposed to be exempt from the embargo, but I suppose Moore’s opponents would argue that his works are more entertainment than journalism.

Sicko debuts Saturday at Cannes and is scheduled for a June 29 release in the U.S.
