Today, a bee-eater was seen in Amsterdam.

This beautiful bird, more common around the Mediterranean, is rare in the Netherlands.

Here is a rare photo of a group of those birds in the northern Netherlands.

  1. I am reading a book that takes place in Egypt. It mentioned “bee eaters” being beautiful so wanted to see what they looked like. They are!!! Thanks for the lovely picture and info.
