I am reading a book that takes place in Egypt. It mentioned “bee eaters” being beautiful so wanted to see what they looked like. They are!!! Thanks for the lovely picture and info.
Hi Dorothy, thanks for commenting. In Egypt, besides the species pictured here, there are two more bee-eater species, extremely rare to absent in the Netherlands: blue-cheeked bee-eater and green bee-eater.
