A group of young people perform to a crowd of protesters near the Fourth Circle in Amman early Monday. Anti-government protests continue for the fourth consecutive day.
The main part of these austirity seems to be an attempt to let people pay taxes. It is not a popular past time for most people in Jordania.

The main tax dodging in Jordan is done by the royal family and their ministers and other cronies. When Jordanian journalists expose that, then the journalists get arrested:
The present IMF-inspired tax hikes increase taxes for people living on the starvation wage of 9660 euros a year.
