Tetra Pak heir avoids jail term
CRIME: Wealthy Tetra Pak heir Hans Rausing avoided a jail sentence at Isleworth Crown Court today after he admitted preventing the lawful and decent burial of his wife Eva’s body.
Mr Rausing was given two concurrent prison sentences of 10 months and two months, both suspended for two years after he admitted another charge of driving under the influence of drugs.
Police discovered her body in an advanced state of decomposition on July 9.

10% of older people ‘not eating right’

Experts warned today that a tenth of elderly people in Britain aren’t eating properly.
The British Dietetic Association (BDA) and the Malnutrition Task Force (MTF) said it is a “big problem.”
Tackling malnutrition in adults could save the NHS more than £45 million a year, they argued.
“For far too long, malnutrition and dehydration has been thought of as a Third World problem,” said BDA chairwoman Helen Davidson.
MTF chairwoman Dianne Jeffrey said that efforts must be made to spot malnutrition earlier.
“Together, we can combat preventable malnutrition effectively and thus improve the health of older people, maintain their independence and save money for the local health economy too.”
