Tunisian pro-democracy marches

This video is called Tunisia in turmoil after uprising.

Thousands marched again Wednesday in the center of Tunis and in other Tunisian cities demanding the ouster of the deposed dictator’s ministers and the dissolution of his ruling party: here.

A revolution similar to the French Revolution is currently taking place in Tunisia. Sparked off by the self-immolation of 26-year-old Mohammed Bouazizi five weeks ago, the masses’ protests consumed the lives of more than 100 persons before President Zine El Abidine Ben Ali was forced to flee to Saudi Arabia on Friday. The ousted dictator had held his country hostage for 23 long years during which his officials stashed about $620 million of the country’s funds in Swiss banks: here.

Tunisian television says 33 relatives of deposed president Zine al Abidine Ben Ali have been arrested on suspicion of “crimes against Tunisia”. The country’s interim president has promised a “total break” with the past: here.

Protests Continue Across the Arab World: here.

It should dawn on those dictators in Africa, who are shaming the continent and subjecting their people to all manner of oppression that they would sooner or later come to the realisation that their time is numbered: here.
