This photo shows a rosy starling in a cherry tree Arjen Werkman’s backyard in Hall village in Gelderland province in the Netherlands.
While Mr Werkman worked at home on 16 June, he spotted two rosy starlings in the tree.
This East European and Central Asian species is rare in the Netherlands.
Beautiful creature.

Birdlife in the Netherlands are happy that not just one lonely stray rosy starling arrived in the cherry tree, but two, as company.
Many photographed arrived there to photograph the rare birds.
