Angela Davis: We can’t eradicate racism without eradicating racial capitalism
World-renowned activist and professor Angela Davis says that racism is intrinsic to capitalist social relations, and that one will not be abolished without the other.
“I am convinced that the ultimate eradication of racism is going to require us to move toward a more socialist organization of our economies,” says Davis. “I think we have a long way to go before we can begin to talk about an economic system that is not based on exploitation and on the super-exploitation of Black people, Latinx people and other racialized populations. But I do think that we now have the conceptual means to engage in discussions.”

I look forward to when BIPOC civil rights leaders stop ignoring us indigenous folk and realize not only did/do we know how to hep this country (after all, we’ve been on it for over 11,000 years), but that the astounding amount of BIPOC in the US are mixed indigenous, and are denied this knowledge and their freedom from oppression through systemic governmental racism such as Blood Quantum, the political act that the “United States” (Canada has similar methods) uses to forcibly segregate children of black & indigenous parents from indigenous culture since Africans were brought to “America” to replace the millions of our dead ancestors.

I dont fully agree with this statement. Capitalism may have been invented in Western Europe but it does very well in East Asian countries as wel. Japan, Taiwan, SOuth Korea and Singapore show how well capitalist is able to adapt to non white countries as well. Capitalism is not racism. Racism is racism!

Capitalism is indeed not exclusively white. But Japan is another confirmation of the link between capitalism and racism (Japanese anti-Korean, anti-Chinese racism, etc. During World War II and now):
