Saving northern wheatears, video

This 18 May 2020 Dutch video is about northern wheatears.

These birds traditionally nest in rabbit holes and rotting tree stumps in the Netherlands.

However, rabbit numbers are down in the Netherlands, and tree stumps are transient.

Northern wheatear nesting numbers in the Netherlands have declined.

To stop that decline, the video shows that fifteen northern wheatear nestboxes are put in the Hoge Veluwe national park.
