Again, Dutch slaughterhouse COVID-19 epicentre

This 9 April 2020 video from the USA says about itself:

Dozens Get COVID-19 At Sioux Falls Meatpacking Plant

A major meatpacking plant just across the border is closed over coronavirus concerns, reports Erin Hassanzadeh.

Today, Dutch NOS radio reports that, once again, there is a coronavirus outbreak at a slaughterhouse in the Netherlands.

This time, it is Van Rooi Meat in Helmond. Last week, it turned out that inspectors of the Food Quality Authority had been infected there. Now, at last, slaughterhouse workers have been tested. 21 workers turned out to have COVID-19. It is not certain whether all 1700 workers have been tested yet.

Yesterday, NOS radio interviewed a Polish worker at the Apeldoorn plant of VION meatpacking corporation. The worker spoke anonymously, because of fear he might be sacked. He told about workers having to travel to the plant in jampacked vans, and bosses not caring about that health risk. Workers are also kept moving from one VION plant to other ones if these are busier, even now during the coronavirus crisis.
