This video from the USA says about itself:
Deborah Burger R.N. president of the National Nurses Union NNU-California Nurses Association CNA talks about the crisis in the healthcare system and the fight of the NNU-CNA to defend nurses, healthcare workers and the public. She also discusses the lowering of standards by the CDC on the re-use of masks, the retaliation and bullying of nurses and the role of the hospitals and Big Pharma.
She reports on how other countries have successfully defended their nurses and frontline healthcare workers as well as their populations including much poorer Cuba.
With 40 million unemployed in the United States and a likely 25% in California, she discusses the growing need for medicare for all and how the structure of the privately run healthcare system prevents the United States from properly protecting the people of the United States.

True. Trump says: go to crowded factory halls where you will be infected, inject bleach (which kills) and use a malaria drug which has killed people at a veterans’ hospital.

Coronavirus cases continue to grow exponentially in a dozen states, and the numbers are expected to jump again as states reopen.1
And yet tens of thousands of health care workers STILL don’t have the personal protective equipment (PPE) needed to keep themselves safe, and nurses and doctors are falling ill and dying at a terrifying rate.2 Trump could easily solve this problem by invoking the Defense Production Act to increase production of masks, gowns, and face shields, but he refuses to do it because corporate lobbyists asked him not to.3
But now we have a chance to get it done.3 The latest coronavirus relief bill passed by the Democratic House of Representatives included desperately needed funding for PPE. And with Mitch McConnell’s Senate majority in deep trouble this November, Republicans are feeling enormous pressure to get on board.
Nurses are there for us when we need them, and they need us now. We’re running Facebook ads pressuring key senators to support legislation to finally ramp up production and get health care workers the equipment they need.
Will you donate $5 to UltraViolet and help pressure the Senate to fund the production of critical PPE supplies?
The numbers are staggering: a recent survey reported that in Florida, a state where the infection curve is still rising, 24% of nurses and doctors are entirely out of N95 masks, 30% are out of gowns, and 27% are out of hand sanitizer.4 Other states are similarly struggling.
Health care workers account for 11% of all coronavirus infections in the country, and in some states, that number is as high is 20%.5 These nurses, doctors, and assistants are being forced to reuse PPE intended for single use only, and there are stories of nurses using swimming goggles and trash bags to try to protect themselves.
Trump has used the Defense Production Act literally hundreds of thousands of times to produce drones, missiles, and other military equipment.6 But the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, a powerful lobby that includes corporations 3M, Honeywell, Target, and Bayer, has been pressuring Trump to block extra production. This refusal has not only caused huge shortages, but the price of PPE has skyrocketed, lining the pockets of these billion-dollar companies.7
Their actions are killing doctors and nurses.
We’ve already convened a coalition that gathered more than 2 million signatures asking for Trump to invoke the Defense Production Act, and now we’re shifting our focus to Congress, running Facebook ads and driving calls to members of Congress to pressure them to act.
Nurses and doctors in the richest country in the world should not be dying from coronavirus due to lack of PPE. Will you donate $5 to UltraViolet to call on Congress to act and help our health care workers?
