‘The second we start to grieve about one, the phone rings and there is another person gone’ — 4 members of the same family have all died after contracting COVID-19, with another 3 in the hospital and 20 under quarantine.
Grace Fusco, her adult sons Vincent & Carmine, and her daughter Rita all died of COVID-19 after reportedly being infected at a large family dinner in New Jersey. Three more family members were hospitalized and two of the three are in critical condition. Approximately 20 other family members are now quarantined and awaiting test results. Grace Fusco was a mother to 11 children and grandmother to 27 more.

CHINA TO END MONTHSLONG HUBEI LOCKDOWN Chinese authorities announced they would end a two-month lockdown of most of virus-hit Hubei province at midnight. People with a clean bill of health will be allowed to leave. The city of Wuhan, where the outbreak started in late December, will remain locked down until April 8. Hubei has seen almost no new infections for more than a week. [AP]
TOKYO OLYMPICS WILL BE POSTPONED The 2020 Tokyo Olympic Games will be postponed due to the coronavirus pandemic, International Olympic Committee member Dick Pound said. “On the basis of the information the IOC has, postponement has been decided,” Pound, a longtime member of the committee, told USA Today. “The parameters going forward have not been determined, but the Games are not going to start on July 24, that much I know.” [HuffPost]
