How spiders build webs, time lapse video

This 16 February 2020 video says about itself:

Spider Web Building Time-lapse | BBC Earth

We filmed a garden orb-web spider building their amazing spider web in this time-lapse as well as slow-motion footage as they capture their first prey with it!

  1. Dear Kitty, we had a orb-web spider in our garden for over a year. I loved to watch it as it re-created its web as time and weather demanded. Unfortunately, it vanished some time past. Old age, or a juicy morsel for a bird must have been its fate.

    • Thanks for your comment, dear Carolyn!

This winter (a warmer winter than usually) I have a very small spider with a small web on my balcony. I am not sure whether it is a juvenile or a small species adult. Anyway, I think it cannot eat anything bigger than fruit flies.
