As a Trump-Bloomberg election would be between two billionaires. And between one racist politician and another racist politician. And between one politician who imprisons children for immigrating, and another politician using prisoners’ forced labour for his election campaign.

Quite some voters might stay home in disgust. Which would favour Donald Trump’s fanatical hard core of supporters.

While public opinion polls say that Bernie Sanders would beat Trump more surely than any other Democratic party candidate. And Trump does not want to be beaten. So he prefers Bloomberg to Sanders.
