Pete Buttigieg, not a good presidential candidate

This 27 October 2019 video from the USA says about itself:

Why Pete Buttigieg Is The WORST Democratic Candidate

In this Majority Report clip, there are a lot of bad Democratic primary candidates but Mayor Pete is the worst.

BUTTIGIEG’S PAC VOWED TO HELP ELECT OTHER DEMS, BUT IT MOSTLY JUST TOUTED HIM When Pete Buttigieg, mayor of South Bend, Indiana, and now presidential contender, launched a political action committee in 2017, the PAC promised to help other Democrats — “at every level and in communities both red and blue” — get elected. It appears, however, that the group, which was shuttered earlier this year, failed spectacularly at achieving its goal. The PAC spent just $37,000 out of $400,000 raised on boosting other Democratic candidates. Mostly, Buttigeg’s PAC helped tout just one Democrat: Buttigieg himself. [HuffPost]

WARREN HITS BUTTIGIEG: WHY RAISE MONEY IN SECRET? Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-Mass.) took direct aim at 2020 presidential rival Pete Buttigieg on Thursday, chastising the South Bend, Indiana, mayor for holding closed-door fundraisers and urging him to reveal his big-money donors. [HuffPost]

IMMIGRANTS GROUP: BUTTIGIEG MUST RETURN ICE-LINKED DONATIONS A coalition of four immigrant rights groups urged 2020 presidential candidate Pete Buttigieg to return more than $50,000 in donations from McKinsey & Co. employees amid reports that the consulting firm helped the Trump administration carry out its hard-line deportation policies. 1. Democrats running for president shouldn’t use Republican talking points to attack Medicare for All.

Unfortunately, Joe Biden and Pete Buttigieg disagree.

That’s why it’s so important that Our Revolution has the resources we need to invest in building grassroots organizing infrastructure in critical 2020 states. The best way to fight unlimited corporate money is grassroots power. That’s why we need your help.

Our Revolution is on the frontlines of every critical progressive issue fight, and our work will be central to electing Bernie Sanders to the White House.

To make our government work for people — not corporations — we need to be organized and working together. That means serious investments in critical states that will determine the outcome of the 2020 elections. It also means having the resources to fight back against corporate distraction attacks and win the war of ideas to guarantee health care as a human right for every person in America.

    Onward,

The whole team at Our Revolution

  2. Our democracy is supposed to represent people. Instead, big money has distorted our government so that it only serves the interests of wealthy corporations and billionaire donors.

That’s why Our Revolution is taking the fight directly to corporate favorite Pete Buttigieg.

As The New York Times reported, we are holding a rally in South Bend, IN with local residents to highlight Mayor Pete’s problematic record handling a police shooting this past June, along with his housing policies and other issues that disproportionately impact African Americans.

Rush a donation now to help us continue challenging corporate Democrats like Pete Buttigieg and Joe Biden. Your contribution will directly fund the grassroots organizing necessary to defeat them and Donald Trump in 2020:

Thank you for all that you do.

  4. Thanksgiving is behind us, and 2020 is coming up fast.

That means that the special interests and their favorite candidates — like Pete Buttigieg, Joe Biden, and now Michael Bloomberg — are gearing up to spend as much as it takes to stop Bernie from winning.

We’re launching our Organize to Win 2020 campaign to fight back against their corporate money by organizing thousands of working-class voters in states like Iowa and Indiana.

In addition to making heavy investments in Iowa, we are taking the fight directly to Mayor Pete by supporting local Our Revolution activists in South Bend who are holding him accountable for failing to stand up and fight police brutality, gentrification, and the outsourcing of good jobs.

We aren’t leaving anything up to chance because the stakes are too high. That’s why we need your grassroots donations to counter their unlimited corporate money.

  6. Bernie Sanders and Elizabeth Warren are both campaigning for universal policies like health care for all and free college for all, and they’re proving that many 2020 Democratic presidential primary voters are ready to vote for lasting systemic change.

But some Democratic presidential candidates have their sights set a bit lower.

Do you support universal public policies like Medicare for All and free college for all? Take our two-minute survey now to let us know where you stand→

Pete Buttigieg is currently running ads in Iowa attacking the idea of free college for all. He says we should “make college affordable for everybody” to avoid “turning off half the country” by making it free for every American.

Similarly, his health care plan — Medicare for All Who Want It — protects private insurance companies while denying subsidies for non-citizens.

Answer our survey to let us know if you agree with Pete Buttigieg that policies like “Medicare for All Who Want It” are bold enough→

Some candidates are proud to fund their campaigns with the help of billionaires, but then draw the line at universal programs that could potentially benefit the wealthy.

But public programs like Social Security and free K-12 education are successful because of their universality — that’s why Our Revolution is fighting back against these Republican talking points.

Through our Organize to Win 2020 campaign, we’re organizing thousands of working-class voters in states like Iowa and Indiana to ensure that voters hear the truth about progressive policies like Medicare for All and free college for all.

Take our survey now to let us know what you think about these policies→

    Thanks for speaking out,
