Flame-rumped tanager parent feeds juvenile

Flame-rumped Tanager Feeds Young On Feeder – June 21, 2019

A fledged juvenile Flame-rumped Tanager begs for food from an adult on the feeder and is fed some banana. Sometimes referred to, equally appropriately, as Yellow-rumped Tanager, this species occurs from western Panama south through Colombia to western Ecuador. They breed from February through May in Panama.
