Trump scared of Bernie Sanders

President Trump is scared of Bernie Sanders and of millions of people criticizing capitalist rule. In 2016, he chickened out of debating Sanders; which he had agreed to do earlier.

VISION | Bernie Sanders 2020

I’m running for president. I am asking you to join me today as part of an unprecedented and historic grassroots campaign that will begin with at least 1 million people from across the country. Say you’re in.

  1. Your support has given this movement the most important head start we could hope for: an organized grassroots army spanning the country and ready for action.

Here’s what you’re helping us build:

Direct outreach programs for phone banking, texting, and door knocking.
One-on-one trainings with group leaders and volunteers.
Event hosting guides for anyone and everyone interested in hosting an event.

Split a contribution right now between Bernie 2020 and Our Revolution to directly support both his campaign and Our Revolution’s grassroots movement.

The political and financial establishment want anyone but Bernie Sanders to be the Democratic nominee in 2020. They want you to believe that he cannot defeat Trump — but the truth is that a majority of Americans support Bernie’s policies.

Medicare for All, a Green New Deal, College for All, a $15 minimum wage and so many other progressive issues are the reasons millions of you across the country brought your voices together to fight for a candidate who will not waiver in putting the people and the planet before profits.

Let’s also be clear on this — Bernie did not get 13 million votes in 2016 by playing it safe. He rewrote the rules of what it takes to be a Democratic presidential candidate — instead of meet-and-greets with wealthy donors, Super PACs or special interests, he went straight to you: the people.

But Bernie can’t do this without the progressive movement. Split a donation right now between Bernie 2020 and Our Revolution both to support his campaign and to help rapidly expand Our Revolution’s legion of volunteers and strengthen our 600 local groups nationwide.

No matter where your passion lies, there is a place for you in our grassroots movement. With over 600 local groups ranging from statewide committees to neighborhood groups, we are bringing people together for something revolutionary: electing Bernie Sanders as the next President of the United States.

Split a donation of $5, $10, $27, whatever you can afford or feel inspired to give. The progressive movement is about people working together and transforming our country into one that works for us all.

Let’s fire up the political revolution.

    In solidarity,

  3. The only way that we will win this election and create a government and economy that work for all of us is by building a grassroots movement the likes of which has never been seen before in American history.

So when I announced our presidential campaign, we set an ambitious goal of getting 1 million people — people of all backgrounds and from every community in this country — to sign up and say that they are committed to doing what it takes to win this election.

Well, I am happy to share that yesterday Deborah from Brownstown Charter Township in Michigan was the millionth person to add her name and join our fight.

    We did it.

We hit this first important goal we needed to reach if we’re going to win this campaign.

But the truth is, that goal is just a start.

Make no mistake about it. The special interests in this country have unbelievable power and they want to maintain the status quo.

They have unlimited amounts of money to spend on campaigns and lobbying and have huge influence over the media and political parties.

But while they have the money, we have the people. And that’s important.

Because if we are going to pass Medicare for All, we are going to have to take on the insurance companies.

If we are going to lower drug prices, we’re going to have to take on the pharmaceutical industry.

If we are going to pass universal background checks and an assault weapons ban, we’re going to have to take on the NRA.

If we’re going to pass a Green New Deal and fight climate change, we’re going to have to take on the fossil fuel industry.

If we’re going to shut down private prisons, we are going to have to take on and defeat a very powerful private prison industry.

If we are going to have a foreign policy that focuses on democracy, human rights, diplomacy and world peace, we are going to have to take on the military industrial complex.

If we are going to create trade policies that reflect the interests of working people, we are going to have to take on very large and powerful multi-national corporations.

If we are going to create an economy that works for all of us and not just the wealthy few, then we are going to have to take on Wall Street and the billionaire class in this country.

And the truth is no candidate and no president, not even the greatest president you could possibly imagine, is capable of taking on all of those industries and all of those groups alone.

But together, we can create a nation that leads the world in the struggle for peace and for economic, racial, social and environmental justice.

Together, we can defeat Donald Trump and repair the damage he has done to our country.

Brothers and sisters, if we stand together, there is no limit to what we can accomplish.

    Not me. Us.

Thank you for helping us reach this first milestone for our campaign.

    In solidarity,

    Bernie Sanders

Watch Bernie tonight at an hour-long town hall at 8 pm Eastern Time on CNN.

But before he gets on stage, we are trying reach an ambitious fundraising goal for our first week. A big one — one you’re going to love to hear about when it happens. And we have a chance to get there before Bernie goes on stage. It’d be great if we did. Chip in $3 today.

  4. Our Revolution

For almost two years I have traveled across the country to states including Hawai’i, Alaska, California, Arizona, North Carolina, Iowa, South Carolina and New Hampshire because the political revolution begins with you — the grassroots. As your president, I have brought your stories of success and struggle with me in our collective pursuit to build a progressive movement.

Together we have grown Our Revolution into a powerful grassroots organization made up of people from all walks of life. Now more than ever we need you to continue the work we started.

Contribute $5, $10, $27 or whatever you can afford today to help us on this mission.

As you may have heard, I am taking a leave of absence to serve as a co-chair for Senator Sanders 2020 campaign. I am joining his team to make a tangible impact on behalf of African Americans, women, working people, and others who feel left behind politically and economically. While I will be serving our movement in a new capacity, I will remain on the board of Our Revolution.

I could not transition without letting you all know how proud I am of the work we have done together. We are the keepers of the flame and our movement is winning.

As we all know, the stakes are too high for any of us to sit this campaign out. As brother Frederick Douglass put it, “If there is no struggle, there is no progress.” We are pushing to create a system that works for the poor and working class. We are pushing to protect Mother Earth for ourselves and future generations. We are pushing to ensure that folks in this country have high quality health care and not just access to health insurance. We are pushing to create systems of political, economic and racial equality.

The struggle for progress is real and the establishment class of politicians, corporations and greedy billionaires will do everything they can to try to stop our movement and prevent Senator Sanders from becoming President of the United States of America. Therefore, we must strengthen our resolve and rededicate ourselves to the mission ahead of us, which is to secure for ourselves and our progeny a future steeped in opportunity.

Our Revolution will continue to organize and fight for progressive issues and candidates, Will you chip in $5 to continue the work of Our Revolution?

Sen. Sanders needs every single one of us to keep fighting for Medicare for All, a clean and just energy system, and to put an end to rising income inequality. When our movement is strong we can all rise together. When our broad coalition works hand-in-hand there is nothing we cannot accomplish.

Thank you for all you have done and will do. I look forward to seeing you on the campaign trail.

  5. At a conservative conference in Washington, D.C., he attacked Bernie’s leadership on Medicare for All and fighting climate change. He said we threatened America’s freedom.

Well, here is the truth. Mike Pence is attacking us because he knows what the American people know: our campaign is the strongest and most powerful challenge to Trump’s re-election.

And that is because our agenda is one that will unite millions of Americans to defeat them and create a government that works for all people, not just the billionaire class. Our agenda is one that will fight for Medicare for all, jobs for all, college for all, and justice for all.

But Bernie cannot take on the Trump administration and the billionaire class of this country alone. The attacks may be starting immediately, but they will continue throughout the campaign because they are desperate to defeat us.

So today — in Mike Pence’s honor — we have to ask:

Can you make a $3 donation to our campaign today to send a message to Mike Pence and the billionaire class that you are going to lead the fight for a government that works for all of us, and not just the 1 percent of this country?

Trump and Pence have had a bad week. We get it. After the Cohen testimony they are trying to change the subject. But he will never distract us from their disastrous record on health care, the environment and wages.

This administration has done very well for their friends and for big donors, but millions of Americans are desperate for change.

Our campaign is going to provide it.

    All our best,

    Team Bernie

  7. We’re going to win this election not because we have a super PAC funded by billionaires. We’re going to win this election because we will put together the strongest grassroots coalition in the history of American politics.

That is the message we sent in Brooklyn at our first official campaign event.

And that is the message we sent last night in Chicago at the second rally of our campaign.

While Donald Trump wants to divide us up by the color of our skin, our country of origin, our gender, our religion and our sexual orientation – we are going to do exactly the opposite. We are going to bring our people together – black, white, Latino, Native American, Asian American, gay and straight, young and old, men and women, native born and immigrant.

Because when we do that, we are going to finally create an economy and a government which works for all Americans, and not just the 1 percent.

    In solidarity,

    Team Bernie

The wealthy and the powerful will do everything possible to defend their financial interests. They have unlimited money, but we have each other. Not just Bernie – us.

Add your name to say you are committed to do whatever it takes to win this election, beat Donald Trump, and elect a government that works for all of us, not just the wealthy few.
