This 19 February 2019 video from the USA is called Andrew Yang Doesn’t Like Bernie Sanders’ Free College Proposal.
Andrew Yang is an artificial intelligence businessman, and a Democratic presidential candidate of the right wing of the party.
Translated from Dutch NOS TV today:
The USA will again go to the polls in 2020 to elect a president. The 77-year-old senator from Vermont joins a field with many Democratic candidates, who hope to be able to take on the incumbent President Trump. Trump will almost certainly be the candidate of the Republicans.
“We started the political revolution during the 2016 campaign and it is now time to continue the revolution,” Sanders said. He speaks of an important and dangerous moment in American history. “Our president is a pathological liar, a fraud, a racist, a sexist, a xenophobic, and someone who undermines American democracy by leading us in an authoritarian direction.”
In 2016 Sanders managed to attract many young people with his call for change and the campaign slogan “Feel the Bern!”. He advocated health insurance for all Americans and was averse to Wall Street. He also wanted to introduce a minimum wage of 15 dollars per hour. His gatherings attracted tens of thousands of supporters and he caused problems for [Hillary] Clinton, the party establishment’s favourite.
The self-proclaimed “democratic socialist” Sanders seems to have a number of advantages for the Democratic nomination for 2020 compared to other candidates: he already has a great reputation and can benefit from his 2016 campaign operations. Then he got a lot of money for his campaign from small donors.
