International Animal Rescue recently released 20 Javan slow lorises in Bandung, West Java. Javan slow lorises (Nycticebus javanicus) are protected primates and yet are heavily trafficked in the wildlife trade.

They are such beautiful creatures. We recently saw a number of them in Sri Lanka. Jono was able to take a few photos. They are just mesmerising to watch. It’s heartbreaking to read about the way poaching is impacting them, unfortunately it’s such a complex issue I’m unsure how meaningful change could be made at this point.
