This 17 September 2018 video from the USA says about itself:
Conservatives dismiss Christine Blasey Ford’s report that Kavanaugh sexually assaulted her
When California professor Christine Blasey Ford came forward to say Trump’s Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh had sexually assaulted her when they were high school students, right-wing [especially Rupert-Murdoch-owned] media immediately lashed out at her.
DRUDGE SHARES SMEAR PIECE ON WRONG PERSON Conservative website Drudge Report shared an article that attempted to smear the credibility of the woman accusing Kavanaugh of sexual assault. But the hit piece targeted the wrong person. [HuffPost]
By Patrick Martin in the USA:
Assault allegation puts question mark over Kavanaugh nomination to Supreme Court
By Patrick Martin
18 September 2018
The Trump administration and congressional Republican leaders were thrown into turmoil Sunday after the woman who charges Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh sexually assaulted her in high school came forward publicly. Christine Blasey Ford, a clinical psychologist and PhD who has taught at Palo Alto University for two decades, allowed her name to be made public in an interview with the Washington Post arranged by her lawyer, Debra Katz.
Senate Judiciary Chairman Charles Grassley said yesterday that he will call Kavanaugh and Ford to testify Monday, and would delay a confirmation vote originally set for this Thursday.
Ford at first insisted on anonymity when she contacted the Post and her local Democratic representative in July with her account of an assault in 1982. She followed this up with a letter to Senator Dianne Feinstein of California, the senior Democrat on the Senate Judiciary Committee, which is scheduled to vote on Kavanaugh’s nomination Thursday afternoon. In August, at the urging of her lawyer, who anticipated a ferocious pushback by the Republican Party and the Trump White House, she took and passed a lie detector test about the attack.
Her lawyer told the press that she only changed her mind about demanding anonymity when details of the charges began to circulate in Washington …
Ford has a well-established academic career as a clinical psychologist and biostatistician, with more than 50 published scientific works.
A liberal Democrat who made a small contribution to Bernie Sanders in 2016, Ford signed a letter of protest earlier this year (under her professional name, Blasey), along with 5,000 other experts on child psychology and health, condemning the Trump policy of forcibly separating immigrant parents and children.
Kavanaugh has denied the incident, claiming that he had never acted in the fashion described by Ford. His account was supported by the third person in the room at the time, Mark Judge, now a right-wing author. But according to Ford, Judge played a lesser role in the attack, helping Kavanaugh hold her down. Both youths—then 17 years old—were heavily intoxicated.
Kavanaugh has asserted that he was not present at the party at which the alleged attack is claimed to have occurred. This may prove to be the central issue of fact in determining the credibility of Ford’s allegations and Kavanaugh’s denials.
The [Rupert Murdoch-owned] Wall Street Journal published a vicious editorial questioning Ford’s motives and comparing her to Anita Hill, whose accusations of sexual harassment were largely dismissed in the Senate vote to confirm ultra-right Justice Clarence Thomas in 1991. The comparison, however, cuts across the campaign to push through the nomination of Kavanaugh, since Hill’s accusations are now widely accepted as true.
The timetable at least, and possibly the Kavanaugh nomination itself, are now in question. In informal comments to reporters at the White House, President Trump suggested a short delay in the process might be required. “If it takes a little delay, it’ll take a little delay,” he said. “It shouldn’t certainly be very much.” …
Nevertheless, allegations of so serious a character cannot be suppressed without a public presentation of evidence and testimony under oath. Whether this process leads to a reliable finding of facts is highly problematic. In the end—barring sensational revelations—the outcome will be determined by political calculations. Senate Republicans are concerned that dismissing Ford’s allegations in the fashion of Anita Hill could lead to a debacle in the congressional midterm elections November 6. At the same time, they want to push through the nomination before the election in order to appease ultra-right evangelicals and avoid a complete collapse if the Democrats, against expectation, win control of the Senate.
KAVANAUGH, HIS ACCUSER TO TESTIFY Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh and Christine Blasey Ford, the professor who has accused him of sexual assault, will publicly testify on Monday, Senate Judiciary Committee Chairman Chuck Grassley (R-Iowa) announced. “Anyone who comes forward as Dr. Ford has done deserves to be heard,” Grassley said in a statement, promising to give the allegations a “full airing.” [HuffPost]
FORD’S CLASSMATES OFFER BACKING A group of women who went to Ford’s high school are circulating a letter to show support for the woman who says Kavanaugh sexually assaulted her when they were teens. [HuffPost]
TRUMP DISMISSES CLAIMS: KAVANAUGH ‘ONE OF THE FINEST PEOPLE’ President Donald Trump backed his Supreme Court pick despite the allegations, dismissing a reporter’s inquiry about whether Kavanaugh had offered to withdraw his nomination as a “ridiculous question.” He called his Kavanaugh “one of the finest people that I’ve ever known” and said “he is somebody very special”, according to a press pool report. Dear ,
Please forward this message to everyone else you know on your own
email list.
The accusation is on the table that Above The Law Kavanaugh not only
tried to rape a 15 year old girl, he tried to gang rape her along
with his similarly blackout drunk crime buddy.
The woman, today a respected professor, has now come forward to
bravely make her accusation in public, and can back up her story with
a record of how she reluctantly shared this with others year ago,
long before a fifth Supreme Court judge to give him a get out of
indictment free card was even a gleam in Trump’s evil eye.
But the Senate Republicans still say they are determined to RAM this
nomination through. And isn’t that a disturbingly embarrassing
metaphor?
It is more urgent than ever for you to demonstrate your opposition to
this criminally ill-advised nomination.

Today we are going to talk about more than the attempted gang rape of
an underage girl. We are going to talk about the literal attempted
gang rape of our Constitution.
For decades there has been an unholy gang of greedy corporations out
to cheat on their taxes, exploit their workers and pollute the
environment, religious fanatics out to impose their sectarian canon
law on believers and non-believers alike, together with 2nd Amendment
absolutists who get their rocks off unloading high capacity magazines
into watermelons, and all too often their own fellow citizens.
None of these things are the least bit constitutional. And though
still a clear minority of the American people, this gang’s blood oath
has been to install so many biased right wing judges that no regular
American can get a fair hearing in our justice system ever again.
The question of rape turns on consent. So too does the issue of the
confirmation of a federal judge, especially one for the Supreme
Court, with the constitutional duty to “advise and consent.”
But the Senate cannot POSSIBLY give its informed consent while 90% of
Above The Law Kavanaugh’s documents are being brutally concealed. No
more than a 15 year old girl can give her consent while she’s trying
to scream with someone’s hand over her mouth, as it is now being
reported that Above The Law Kavanaugh did.
Above The Law Kavanaugh’s defenders rushed out a letter, suspiciously
apparently pre-signed by 60 women, supposedly classmates, when he in
fact went to an ALL BOYS school. As if to say, “Hey, what about all
the women he didn’t try to gang rape?”
Oh, yeah? Like what about all the women whose genitals Trump didn’t
try to grab without their consent? You know, the lucky ones who
weren’t a nine or a ten.
Those who have tried to limit this entire nomination process to a
SINGLE virtual hour cannot complain that this is coming out now in
the 11th hour. Guess we now know why the rush.
This must be thoroughly investigated.
Stop the Republicans’ procedural gang rape in the Judiciary Committee
now.

TELL YOUR SENATORS:
Don’t let Judge Kavanaugh threaten our rights
The next Supreme Court Justice could transform the institution and jeopardize civil rights for a generation – which is why we must urge the Senate to vote NO on Kavanaugh.
During his recent confirmation hearings, Kavanaugh dodged questions about where he stands on affirmative action, voting rights, a woman’s right to choose, and so many other vital issues. But his record speaks loud and clear: He is hostile to many of the rights and protections that have empowered African Americans, women, and workers in the United States over the last 50 years.
His confirmation is now under the added scrutiny of credible sexual assault allegations made by Dr. Christine Blasey Ford, underscoring the need to halt any vote on Kavanaugh.
Watch our video featuring award-winning singer-songwriter John Legend to learn why we must stop Kavanaugh’s confirmation while there’s still time:
Then contact your senators and tell them to vote NO on Kavanaugh.

Dear Linda,
I’m Zerlina Maxwell, a survivor of sexual assault, an advocate, and political analyst.
Dr. Christine Blasey Ford courageously came forward to tell her story of being sexually assaulted by Trump’s Supreme Court nominee, Brett Kavanaugh.1
Now, his supporters are doing everything they can to discredit, shame, and punish her for speaking out.2 We must show her and the rest of the country we have her back, and we believe her and all survivors.
Show your support by signing on to this card, and UltraViolet will make sure she gets each and every one of your messages.
When I was attacked by right-wing pundits and harassed online for going on Fox News and saying we need to tell men to stop raping women,3 UltraViolet members had my back. In that horrible moment, getting a thank you card from thousands of people, and knowing I had support, made such a huge difference.
We can do the same for Dr. Christine Blasey Ford. I want her to know that she is not alone and that we have her back in this crucial moment in American history.
Thanks to her, the American public has all the information needed to know Kavanaugh should never make it to the Supreme Court.
Will you join me by signing this card?
Thanks for taking action,
Zerlina Maxwell and the UltraViolet team

Brett Kavanaugh, President Donald Trump’s nominee for the US Supreme Court, is a hardened, longtime political reactionary, a mouthpiece for powerful moneyed interests and an enemy of the working class.
The principal author of the Kenneth Starr report to Congress on the Monica Lewinsky-Bill Clinton sex scandal, Kavanaugh was at the heart of the effort in 1998 to stage a political coup against a twice-elected president. A few years later, as a lawyer in George W. Bush’s White House, Kavanaugh helped formulate the administration’s unconstitutional and criminal detention and interrogation (i.e., torture) policies.
Since his appointment to the US Court of Appeals in 2006, Kavanaugh has relentlessly pursued a right-wing agenda, ruling again and again in defense of big business, against abortion rights and environmental regulation, in favor of authoritarian and anti-democratic measures. He is a thoroughly repugnant figure who, if confirmed to the Supreme Court, would solidify its ultra-right character and direction.

Dear ,
Please forward this message to everyone else you know on your own

Above The Law Kavanaugh jumped out to “categorically and
unequivocally deny” that he tried to rape a 15 year old girl who has
passed a lie detector test.
He added he never did anything like this in high school or “at any
other time.” Any other time? What’s that about? What else is out
there we still don’t know about? Other attacked women still afraid to
come forward?
Today, he claimed he was not at the party where this attack took
place. Oh really? Which party was that? The one he claims to know
absolutely nothing about? What’s his testimony now, that he never
went to a party in high school at any time?
It’s time to hook Above The Law Kavanaugh up to a lie detector
machine himself. We already have evidence he has been lying about
everything else, whether he participated in creating the Bush torture
program, whether he was involved in handling documents stolen from
Democratic members of the Judiciary Committee, whether he is hell
bent on trashing Roe v. Wade, etc., etc., etc.
The guy is a categorical and unequivocal LIAR. We’ll go further,
Above The Law Kavanaugh is as much of a f’ing liar (see the Dowd
quote in the Woodward book) as the guy who nominated, if such a thing
were possible.
Republicans are STILL trying to jam this through with a minimum of
scrutiny. First, they adamantly declared they would tolerate no delay
of the Judiciary Committee vote. No, they did not suffer a sudden
attack of procedural fairness. Overnight, Judicial Committee member
Republican Jeff Flake publicly took the position that he would vote
“NO” in the Judiciary Committee without hearing additional testimony
about this, a vote they were then certain to lose.
Then, the Republicans tried to make a couple phone calls substitute
for an open public inquiry. And even for the hearing now announced
for this coming Monday, they are adamantly resisting any calls for an
actual FBI investigation to determine the real facts.
Of course, the Republican members of the Supreme Court have a long
history of lying through their teeth to get past their nomination
hearings, with their pompous talk about calling balls and strikes,
falsely denying that they have a prejudicial agenda going in. The
example closest to this situation is when Clarence Thomas
self-righteously lied when in fact Anita Hill was the one telling the
truth.
Plus, we need to hear testimony from Above The Law Kavanaugh’s black
out drunk gang rape buddy, who has actually bragged in a book about
his own raving drunken debauchery at the time.
It is more urgent than ever for you to demonstrate your opposition to
this criminally ill-advised nomination.
