House finch couple nest in the USA

Male and female House Finches have completed their nest deep inside an arborvitae tree and are frequently perching nearby on guard duty and hunting for bugs. These outgoing little birds are not ones to keep a low profile while nesting.

House finches became famous in the USA when a female of that species landed near Senator Bernie Sanders when he addressed a big election rally.
