Hawaii female albatrosses return to nests

This video from Hawaii says about itself:

All Three Females Return To Relieve Mates From Incubation Duties – Feb. 2, 2017

An eventful two hours on the Laysan Albatross cam! Watch the females from all three nests return from multi-week foraging trips over the Pacific Ocean to relieve their mates from incubation duties. We also see Manawanui and Jett (the males from nests #2 and #3, respectively) battle it out during the changeover process. Now it’s the males’ turn to forage at sea and resupply their energy reserves while the females keep watch over the nests.

The Kauai Laysan Albatross cam is a collaboration between the Cornell Lab of Ornithology and the Kauai Albatross Network. Watch live with news, updates, and FAQs at http://allaboutbirds.org/albatross.

The Kauai Laysan Albatross cam is back for a new season with three nests featuring all-new breeding pairs for 2018.
