This video from Hawaii says about itself:
30 January 2018
Watch the recently hatched chick from nest #1, Makalii, receive its first feeding from the male, Aukele. For the first few days after hatching, nestlings are exclusively fed a fat-rich stomach oil, which is stored up by the adults during the digestion process in order to feed their chicks.
The Kauai Laysan Albatross cam is a collaboration between the Cornell Lab of Ornithology and the Kauai Albatross Network.
