British Carillion collapse, parody song

This 17 January 2018 parody music video from Britain is called Carillion – “Rob the Builders”. It is a parody of the song Bob the Builder.

The lyrics are:

A musical statement from Carillion.

LYRICS: Rob the builders! Can we pay them?
Rob the builders! No we can’t

Making tomorrow a better place [the official Carillion corporation slogan]
Build stuff in every empty space
Oh no we’ve gone bust, and to make things worse
We’ll need bailing out from the public purse

Rob the builders! Can we pay them?
Rob the builders! No we can’t

Preferred bidder status for donations
Still ended up in liquidation
Hedge fund investors short-sold their shares
Now they are all Carillionaires

Rob the builders! Can we pay them?
Rob the builders! No we can’t

GCHQ and HS2
School dinners, prisons and hospitals too
All those subcontractors that we’re failing
And still no one’s heard from Chris Grayling

Rob the builders! Can we pay them?
Rob the builders! No we can’t
