Chelsea Manning recently announced that she’s running for the U.S. Senate. Her campaign announcement was praised by progressives, but mocked by conservatives and centrist,

Very often, ‘centrist’ is used as an euphemism for right-wing.

neoliberal Democrats. By and large, centrist Democrats—that often invoke identity politics—have rejected Manning and instead opted to endorse her opponent… who just so happens to be a privileged, rich, straight, white male. Wait, I thought they said progressives were “sexist Bernie bros” for supporting a straight white male over a woman? Looks like they just revealed their own hypocrisy. Oops!
