Conservative party conference delegates discuss gay marriage
On the fringe of the Conservative conference in Birmingham on Monday, Ann Widdecombe and the former archbishop of Canterbury, Lord Carey, were among those addressing a Coalition for Marriage rally against same-sex marriage. Here, Michael White hears the views of Tory supporters as well as protesters outside the conference.

The report branded Tory members a “breed apart” from their counterparts in Labour, Liberal Democrats and the SNP after research revealed stark differences on major issues.
Labour party members were the most likely to be info favour, with 85 percent of members in support, while 84 percent of Lib Dems and 81 percent of SNP are supportive.
