German elite soldiers do nazi salute

This 17 August 2017 German TV video is about the neonazi scandal in the German army elite unit KSK.

Translated from Dutch NOS TV:

German elite soldiers do Hitler salutes at party’

Members of the German military elite unit KSK have done the Hitler salute at a farewell party of a commander. They also listened to right-wing extremist music.

This is what the investigative program Panorama of German public broadcasting ARD reports. The broadcaster bases itself on one source, said to be reliable.

At the party it is also said that pork heads were thrown about …

Pork heads, used to mock Jewish or Muslim dietary laws, often play a role in anti-Semitism and Islamophobia.

The anonymous source, called Anna by the ARD, is said to have been invited by a KSK soldier friend to serve as chief prize for the commander. That meant she would have sex with him.

Anna agreed to this … . Sex did not happen because the commander was said to have been too drunk.

Right-extremist rock band

Later in the evening, at the campfire, music by Sturmwehr, a right-wing extremist rock band, sounded. Just before the chorus, an elderly military man said it was time to raise their right hands and do the nazi salute.

According to Anna, four soldiers obeyed this call, including the commander. There is said to have been an euphoric mood, with singing along to the music massively.

The German army is investigating the events at the party. A spokesman has confirmed to the ARD that indeed pork heads had been thrown about, but as long as the investigation is in progress, they would not make any statements about the music and the doing of the nazi salutes.

It is clear that the KSK and the German army have a big problem if the allegations prove to be correct. The German army was already in the news negatively earlier this year when it turned out that an officer disguising himself as a refugee wanted to commit a terrorist attack in order to incite xenophobia.

ANTI-RACISM group Hope Not Hate is urging Home Secretary Amber Rudd to block far-right Canadian rock band Legitime Violence from entering Britain to prevent them performing at a “white power” concert.

Reportedly describing themselves as anti-communist and nationalist, the band threatens to “smash the face of anyone who wants to put a stick in the wheel of the Legitime Violence machine.”

Several members of the band have criminal convictions stemming from their links to a violent, far-right skinhead gang in Quebec, Hope Not Hate warned, adding that singer Raphael Levesque is active in neonazi gang Atalante Quebec.

The band’s Facebook page reportedly features images of them brandishing weapons and includes links to several openly fascist bands.

Hope Not Hate said Legitime Violence intends to headline the largest annual white power concert held in Britain — organised by neonazi group Blood and Honour to mark the anniversary of its founder Ian Stuart Donaldson dying in a car accident in 1993.

Stand Up to Racism joint secretary Weyman Bennett welcomed Hope Not Hate’s call for Legitime Violence to be barred from Britain, “particularly with the rise of fascism and neonazism in Europe.”

He said the world is now seeing an “explosion of backwardness” and that a “very fragmented” right is unfortunately finding an audience.

Mr Bennett cited recent organising by the English Defence League (EDL) and the Football Lads Alliance, with the latter’s founder being a “big fan” of former English Defence League leader Tommy Robinson.

He also condemned US President Donald Trump’s failure to condemn far-right groups in Charlottesville and his use of the term “alt-right,” branding it a “cover for the politics of division and fascism.”

Last year, a gig in Falkirk by far-right US band Bound for Glory was called off just a few days in advance, after 17,000 people signed a Hope Not Hate petition calling for the group to be refused entry and Scottish Justice Minister Michael Matheson wrote to Ms Rudd demanding action.

Hope Not Hate’s campaign will also call for Ms Rudd to clamp down on alleged tax dodging by the London-based organiser of the Blood and Honour gigs, Robert Talland, also known as Ginger Rob.

The anti-racist group claims that he sells alcohol with a 600 per cent mark-up and that the event brings in £25,000 a year.
